Cares Expo Taipei 2023 delving into burgeoning home healthcare market and industry in Asia

Updated: Nov 8, 2023

As the global aging population continues to grow, so does the demand for health services tailored to the elderly. A significant portion of the elderly population grapples with multiple chronic illnesses, with a clear preference for home healthcare. It is worth noting that escalating costs and staffing shortages pose substantial challenges for hospital management. Consequently, solutions, devices, and services related to home healthcare are experiencing remarkable growth, with a projected compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 7.9% from 2023 to 2032. Recent studies have also indicated that patients enrolled in home healthcare programs tend to achieve better health outcomes at reduced costs.

This year, Cares Expo Taipei 2023 has broadened its scope, shifting its focus from "long-term care" to "home care." Within the four exhibition clusters at the expo, the "Homecare" segment serves as a comprehensive platform, bringing together an extensive array of solution providers, product manufacturers, and service providers catering to home healthcare, home medical needs, and nursing care, all the way to companionship.

Encompassing everything from preventative healthcare and medical services to end-of-life care, the expo establishes a supportive network for the elderly who prefer to receive care in the comfort of their homes. Beyond healthcare and assistive devices, the event also showcases related products and services such as senior-friendly furniture, financial advisory services, caregiver matchmaking, and transportation solutions. Additionally, the expo offers valuable consulting services for home caregivers.

In the Expo, the Kansai Silver Service Association has partnered with Cares Expo Taipei to showcase assistive devices from Japanese companies, Shima Product, With Co. Ltd, Seiko Medical Instruments and Tokutake.

Other cutting-edge home healthcare solutions featured at Cares Expo Taipei are:

  • Virtual care and telehealth

  • Monitoring vital health records for patients with chronic diseases

  • Products promoting independent living, including fall detection systems, medical alert devices, and emergency pendants

  • Assistive devices encompassing mobility aids, hearing aids, cognitive aids, and more

  • Home rehabilitation equipment

Cares Expo Taipei 2023 is at the forefront of exploring these innovative home healthcare solutions and driving progress in the industry.
