Iveda expands remote patient monitoring at a senior living facility, supporting US$1.03 billion VA contract

Iveda, a leader in cloud-based AI solutions, has announced the expansion of its remote patient monitoring services at Waymark Gardens, a senior living facility in Glendale, Arizona. This expansion integrates Iveda’s advanced IvedaAI platform with its existing IvedaCare system, further enhancing safety and operational efficiency at the facility. IvedaAI, a sophisticated video search platform, offers real-time detection of incidents like falls in public areas, ensuring a rapid response to potential emergencies and reinforcing security for both residents and staff.

Waymark Gardens has been an early adopter of IvedaCare, a HIPAA-compliant solution that uses camera-less sensors to monitor residents' movements within their private living spaces. These sensors track activity patterns and trigger alerts for any unusual behavior, such as falls or inactivity, providing caregivers with timely notifications. The recent integration of IvedaAI expands these capabilities into the facility’s public spaces, including hallways and courtyards, allowing for continuous monitoring and instant incident detection in communal areas.

This strategic integration at Waymark Gardens is part of a broader effort by Iveda to enhance remote patient monitoring across senior living facilities nationwide. This initiative supports Iveda’s subcontract under a significant $1.032 billion, eight-year contract with the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). The contract is focused on advancing remote patient monitoring technologies, a critical component in the modernization of healthcare for veterans.

David Ly, CEO and Founder of Iveda, expressed enthusiasm about the deployment, noting, "Facilities using IvedaCare for remote patient monitoring are now discovering the enhanced capabilities of IvedaAI. Waymark Gardens’ adoption is a testament to the growing value of these solutions, and we are excited about the momentum we're seeing under our VA contract."

Dr. Eric Luster, CEO of Movement Interactive, whose fall detection technology integrates seamlessly with IvedaCare, emphasized the positive impact this technology has had at Waymark Gardens. "The feedback from residents has been invaluable in shaping the future of our technology," Dr. Luster remarked. "As we expand our services to more facilities, the real-world benefits of these innovations are becoming increasingly apparent, particularly in enhancing the quality of life for both residents and caregivers."

The enhanced monitoring system at Waymark Gardens has been met with widespread approval from residents and staff. One resident shared, "The IvedaCare system has brought me closer to my family, as they can monitor my well-being in real-time. It gives us all peace of mind."

By integrating IvedaCare and IvedaAI, Waymark Gardens has set a new standard in senior care, blending safety, independence, and cutting-edge technology. This model not only enhances the quality of life for its residents but also serves as a blueprint for other senior living facilities looking to adopt similar technologies.
